Dr. Mohammed Iyoob Ilyas is a board-certified colorectal, general, and robotic surgeon specializing in advanced minimally invasive surgery and complex colorectal cancer care. He is recognized for his expertise in robotic techniques, sphincter-preserving surgery, and multidisciplinary management of colorectal disease.
With training across internationally renowned institutions in the United States, United Kingdom, and India, Dr. Ilyas brings a global perspective to modern surgical care. He completed his colorectal surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Health System and his general surgery residency at the University of Arizona, following advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Ilyas currently practices in Rancho Mirage, California, where he plays a key leadership role in cancer care. He serves as Chair of the Cancer Committee and Director of the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer, leading initiatives focused on quality improvement, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based outcomes.
